・Information

The Madarao kogen area is located in Iiyama City in northeastern Nagano on the border with the Myoko region of Niigata Prefecture.

Prefecture Road 97 goes through Madarao Kogen and past the ski resort. Iiyama Station on the bullet train (Hokuriku Shinkansen Line) and the Iiyama local train line is the closest.

Nagano Station is approx.36km to the southwest of Madarao.

From the Toyota-Iiyama IC, we are about 16km away using Route 117. Follow the signs to Madarao Kogen. When you see Madarao Kogen Hotel, you will see Chikumadai Pension Village. We will offer shuttle wagon service from the Madarao Kogen Hotel bus stop if required.

Bus service between Madarao and Nozawa/Myoko is provided every day during the season. Details are obtainable at the pension. You can enjoy Nozawa/Myoko while staying in Madarao.

Madarao has 9 exciting ungroomed slopes as the tree-run courses for powderhounds, which is well known and loved by many skiers.

　7,000 yen per head/night

　If a twin room is used by a single guest, 3,000 yen will be 　surcharged.

　 2,000 yen is surcharged for the year end/new year days
　(26/12 - 03/01 and 07 - 08/01.

　Dinner can be prepared at 2,000 yen

Iiyama is a stop next to Nagano, 1 hour and 40 minutes from Tokyo via Hokuriku Shinkansen(bullet train). Shuttle bus service is available from Iiyama Station to Madarao ( 30 minutes at 500 yen ). Iiyama Station is located near the entrance to Madarao.

By bus

Bus service is available from Iiyama Station to Madarao for 25 minutes. Bus time schedule is linked to the arrival of Shinkansen.
